How can we help?

Quick answers about writing with SayRight, the Chrome extension, My Voice and your plan. Can't find it? Write to us below; a real person answers.

Getting startedWriting your first message in Studio

Open Studio and describe what you want to say in your own words, even as rough notes: "tell the client the delivery slips to the 14th, apologise, supplier issue". You can also paste a draft you already wrote.

Pick an Action (Write, Rewrite, Reply, Translate, Improve clarity or Make natural), then click Generate. SayRight returns a ready-to-send message you can copy, save as a template or refine.

Getting startedWhat Action, Content type, Tone, Format and Language change

Action says what to do with your text: write from a brief, rewrite your draft, reply to a message you received, translate it, clarify it or make it sound native. Content type tells SayRight where the message is going (a professional email, a LinkedIn post, a short chat message, a difficult message...), which shapes structure and length.

Tone sets the voice (Professional, Friendly, Warm, Diplomatic, Firm but respectful...), and Format sets the length or layout (Short, Standard, Detailed, Bullet points, Full email, three Alternative versions). Language "Auto" answers in the language you wrote in; choose a language to always write in it. You can save your usual defaults in Settings.

WritingRefining a result: Shorter, Warmer, Clearer and more

After a generation, open Refine to transform the current result without starting over: Shorter, Warmer, More professional, Clearer, More natural, or Alternative versions. Each refinement keeps your facts and commitments and changes only what you asked for.

Every refinement uses one generation, the same as a new message. Nothing is generated in the background.

WritingWhy SayRight won't invent details

SayRight improves how you say things, not what you say. It won't add names, dates, prices, promises or experience you didn't mention, and it keeps your commitments exactly as strong as you wrote them.

If a detail is missing, like the recipient's name, SayRight writes around it instead of inserting placeholders. Add the detail to your brief and generate again to include it.

WritingWhy a translation reads differently than the original

SayRight translates meaning, not word by word. A natural translation may reorder sentences or use a more idiomatic expression while keeping every point, the paragraphs, the greeting and the signature.

The tone still applies: Natural reads like a native speaker, Polished feels ready for a client, Warm sounds more human. Choose the target language before clicking Generate; changing it never generates on its own.

Account & billingHow the monthly quota works

One generation is counted each time you explicitly ask SayRight to create, rewrite, refine or translate text, in the web app or the Chrome extension. Changing settings, opening templates or browsing history never uses a generation, and a failed generation is not counted.

Your quota resets every month from the day your plan started. Free includes 10 generations, Starter 500 and Pro 2,000. The sidebar and Billing always show what you have left.

Account & billingHow the 7-day free trial works

Starter and Pro can be tried free for 7 days. You add a card at checkout, nothing is charged during the trial, and you can use up to 50 generations with every feature of the plan, including My Voice.

If you keep the plan, the first charge happens on day 8. To stop, cancel from Billing before then and you'll stay on Free with your history and templates. Each account can use one free trial.

Account & billingUpgrading, downgrading or switching to yearly

Go to Pricing and choose the plan and billing period you want. If you already have a subscription, SayRight changes it in place: an upgrade charges only the prorated difference now, and a downgrade credits the unused part to your next invoice. You never pay for two subscriptions.

To cancel, open Billing and manage your subscription in the Stripe portal. You keep your plan until the end of the paid period, then move to Free automatically with your history and templates intact.

Account & billingInvoices, receipts and payment methods

Billing lists your invoices with PDF downloads. Payment methods, billing details and cancellation are handled securely by Stripe from the Manage subscription button.

If a payment fails, your access continues while Stripe retries the card for a few days. Update your payment method in Billing to avoid moving to Free.

My VoiceCreating a My Voice profile from real samples

My Voice is your writing style, not an audio recording. Paste at least three messages you actually wrote, separated by a blank line: client replies, notes to colleagues, a LinkedIn post. SayRight uses them to match your vocabulary, rhythm, formality and the way you open and close messages.

Samples teach style only. SayRight never reuses the names, facts or events they contain.

My VoiceUsing, switching and removing voice profiles

Starter includes one voice profile and Pro up to five, for example one for clients and one for your team. Choose the profile in Studio's My Voice setting, or select No voice profile to write without it.

You can edit samples, rename, duplicate or delete a profile at any time from My Voice. My Voice isn't included in the Free plan.

Chrome extensionInstalling and connecting the Chrome extension

Install SayRight from the Chrome Web Store, open it from the toolbar and click Connect. A SayRight window opens: approve the connection while signed in to your account. The extension then uses its own secure session and shares your monthly quota.

To switch account, disconnect from the extension popup, sign in to the other account on sayrightai.com, and connect again. Signing out of the web app also disconnects the extension.

Chrome extensionWhere Write and Rewrite appear

Click into a message field in Gmail, LinkedIn messaging, Facebook or WhatsApp Web and a small SayRight button appears in the corner of the field. Click it to write a new message. Select text you've written to see Rewrite and transform just that part.

SayRight only prepares text. You review it and choose Insert, Replace or Copy; nothing is ever sent for you. The toolbar popup works on any page if you'd rather copy the result yourself.

Troubleshooting"SayRight is busy" or a generation didn't finish

Occasionally the writing engine is overloaded. SayRight retries automatically and switches to a backup model if needed; if it still fails you'll see a message and the generation is not counted. Wait a few seconds and try again.

If you click several times quickly, SayRight processes one request at a time and asks you to wait, so you're never charged twice.

TroubleshootingThe extension button doesn't appear

Make sure the extension is connected (open the popup) and that you clicked inside a message field on a supported site. Very small fields such as search boxes, subject lines and recipient fields are ignored on purpose.

After installing or updating the extension, reload the Gmail, LinkedIn, Facebook or WhatsApp tab once so the page picks it up.

The extension works in Chrome only. For WhatsApp, use WhatsApp Web (web.whatsapp.com) in Chrome: the WhatsApp desktop app is a separate program that browser extensions can't reach, and its own Alt+S shortcut opens a new window.

Privacy & dataWhat happens to the text you write

The text you submit is sent securely to our AI providers (Anthropic, with OpenAI as a backup) only to produce your result. Under their API terms, this data is not used to train their models. SayRight doesn't sell your data or read your messages.

The extension only reads a field when you click SayRight or select text and choose Rewrite. See the Privacy Policy for details, and contact us to delete your account and data.
